SUPERETTE
The superette was donated to the scout camp from boy scouts of America troop 891. they came and stayed at the campsite during June 2008 and helped clear the site for the building.
The building was constructed in June 2008. Constructed by local builders in the songani village, the money was raised by the American scouts in their home country. It is yet to be completed and funds raised to initially stock the superette. It is a valuable asset to the campsite and will help make the campsite pave its way to sustainable running and will also aid the local villages.
ASSISTANT MANAGERS HOUSE
Progress of the assistant managers house at Makwawa Campsite is going along quickly
The house which is funded by Ashby and Coalville scout district and Mr. & Mrs. Morris, lie near the camp commissioners house on foundations of a previously demolished house.
It is a 2 roomed house with electricity
The roofing construction has also been completed
